When you go for a backpacking trip to the unknown, one of the things that may cross your mind is the safety of yourself and your belongings. So, how do you keep your valuables secure when checking in at the airport or walking around in a jam packed place like a market or tourists hotspots? Here are the things that your backpack should have for its safety features either for carry on or checked in the airport:

• Snatchproof shoulder straps to allow your backpack to be fastened itself to a secure fixture on you.
• Slashproof shoulder straps, front and bottom panels to protect your backpack from snatch thieves who are a plenty in most developing countries.
• Tamperproof Locking zippers to secure your backpack from being broken into to the maximum.
• Front flaps to hide your zippers and external compartments from the eyes of others to give you double security measure.
• It is not a big thing investing on luggage locks as long as it keeps your belongings in the backpack even when you left the backpack unattended during checking in and make sure that it is accepted by the local TSAs.
