Leading up to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the road closures such as at Downtown Vancouver from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. By the Opening Ceremony in 12 February and throughout the duration of the games, backpackers can expect a traffic reduction of at least 30 percent which means, more freedom to roam the city using the public transportation or simply relying on your pair of legs.
